About the Macmillan Storybook

What is the Macmillan Storybook?

Macmillan’s Storybook is the place for people living with cancer, and those supporting or working for people affected by cancer, to share their experiences. Our voices are more powerful together, and the Storybook helps us speak out louder and stronger.

By sharing stories, you help show decision makers why change must take place. Hearing about real experiences helps reach and change the hearts and minds of politicians and others in a position to make change happen. The Storybook is a way to amplify your voice, so that the right people listen and take action for positive change.

Our voices are more powerful together, and the Storybook helps us speak out louder and stronger. Use this form to tell your story.

What is the Wall of Support?

If you’d like to show your support for Macmillan’s Storybook rather than add a story, you can add your name and message to our Wall of Support. By adding your name and message, you’re telling people living with cancer that they haven't been forgotten. Together we can make change for people with cancer.

Campaigning at Macmillan

We believe in the role of people-powered campaigns to bring about positive change that helps people with cancer live life as fully as they can. Our goal is to improve lives through positive changes to legislation and policy. We help you to raise your voice and speak out about why change is needed.

Essentially, we campaign for change. Our movement is over 16,000 strong and we’re growing every day. With our campaigners’ help, we’ve changed things for the better for people with cancer. We've spoken out together about the financial impact of cancer, support for people after cancer treatment ends, welfare cuts, the lack of support for carers and improving care at the end of life. Our work isn’t finished and there is much more to do.

We empower people to take action to support this and ask decision makers, such as politicians, institutions, or organisations, for change. We hope you will join us by sharing your story here or signing the Wall of Support. We’d love to have you on board.
