How we'll use your story

• Once submitted, your story, first name, constituency and photograph (if submitted) will be publicly available on our Storybook.
• Other people will be able to search your story by topic and by constituency.
• We ask for your postcode so your story can be categorised by constituency, but this will not be made public.
• The information recorded on our Storybook will be used to inform Macmillan’s influencing and to raise the voices of people living with cancer to decision-makers, like local politicians and Government officials.
• Submission of your story to Storybook is solely for users aged 18 and over. Any submission of a story by anyone under 18 years of age shall be unauthorised. By submitting your story, you warrant that you are 18 years of age or older. We reserve the right to remove your story without warning if we believe that you are under 18 years of age.
• After you have shared your story, we may also be in touch to gather further information about your experiences but only if you tell us you are happy to hear more from us.
• We will also get in touch with you if we wish to use your story or photograph as part of our Storybook website marketing materials but only if you tell us you are happy to hear more from us.
• Your story will be reactively moderated.
• Your story will be visible on the Storybook for as long as the Storybook is publicly available.
